MFFU — OLD Account Guide (Starter, Starter+, & Expert)

IMPORTANT TO READ THIS FIRST!

Since the old accounts are still available to buy, I’ll leave this page up until they are officially removed. Remember, everything on this page only applies to Starter, Starter Plus, and Expert.

On July 22nd, 3 new plans were introduced that will be replacing the ones on this page, and the full guide for that can be found by clicking here. Personally, I think the new accounts are better than these, unless you haven’t got your 50% off account yet! Alright, below is the old guide.

ALWAYS get the best discount with code Iman (it updates)

  • 50% off ANY ACCOUNT (only for the first month)! After using that discount (one-time use), you get unlimited uses for 15% off on all Expert and Starter+ accounts. Code Iman.

This page is essentially their entire website put into an easy-to-read format with all major rules and policies explained for each of their top accounts. Using my links on this page with code Iman automatically gets you the best discount, and it may support me with a commission at no extra cost to you. MFFU is my #1 favorite firm.

A brief intro to MyFundedFutures’ different trading plans

MyFundedFutures has four different types of “trading plans” (evaluations). The chart here uses each plans’ 50k account to demonstrate these differences. After, we’ll explore each plan in more detail to further help you decide which one is best for you. Each one has clear advantages and disadvantages.

Starter Starter plus Expert
Profit Target $3K $3K $4K
Max Position 3 Contracts 3 Contracts 5 Contracts
Daily Loss Limit $1.2K x x
Max Drawdown $2.5K $2K $2K
Drawdown Mode EOD EOD EOD
Activation Fee x x x
Consistency in Eval x 50% x
Consistency in Funded 40% x x
Scaling Rule x
Cost after code Iman $92 $121 $216

What are the major differences?

The biggest difference is how easy the evaluations are to pass, the consistency rules for evaluations and funding, the pricing, and the scaling rules. All 3 plans use an end-of-day drawdown, and all 3 plans have no activation fees.

Who should trade the starter plans?

  • By far the easiest and most affordable path to funding in the entire futures prop-firm industry. It can be passed in 1 day.

    • $2,500 drawdown with a $3,000 profit target

    • Just $92 for the 50k account

Who should trade the expert plans?

  • An expensive account that is harder to pass in order to have:

    • No scaling rule, consistency rule, or minimum trade days for the evaluation or funded account (and it can be passed in 1 day)

…And what about starter plus plans?

The starter plus plan essentially the starter plan but with no daily loss limit or consistency rule for payouts. Below, I have gathered each account’s entire funding model and all payout policies from their website to save you some time. I’m trading through MFFU because I think they’re the best. If I thought there was a better firm, then I’d be trading through that firm. It’s really that simple. At the moment, I’ve been exclusively trading the starter plus plans, and I love them. I used to trade the expert plans.

Minimum payout$250$250$250

The most important Starter Plus information

  • For the evaluation

  • 50% consistency rule, so you can technically pass in 2 days

  • All max drawdowns and profit targets are the same as Topstep’s accounts

  • Max daily loss limits (soft breach; you don’t fail the evaluation)

  • Once you’re funded

    • Scaling plan

    • No consistency rule!

    • 50k account is technically the best deal in terms of how much it costs in relation to the funding you’re given. Paying $120.65 with no activation fee for $2,000 drawdown means paying $6.03 for every $100 in funding. That’s an excellent deal.

The most important information about the expert plans

  • For the evaluation

    • No daily loss limit

    • No minimum trading days or consistency rule (can be passed in 1 day)

    • More expensive with harder drawdown:profit target ratios

  • Once you’re funded

    • No scaling plan (immediate access to max position sizes)

    • No daily loss limit

    • No consistency rule

    • No minimum “winning days” rule

    • VERY high profit threshold

  • How does the payout policy work?

    • I’ll use the 50k account as an example, which has a $2,100 buffer. Before you reach it, you can make a one-time 60% withdrawal. For example, if you have $2,000 in profit, you can withdraw 60% of it ($1,200). Remember, the minimum withdrawal amount is $1,000, so your plan needs to be clear on whether to take that first payout before the buffer or to continue trading past it. The buffer amounts for all accounts is below, and the 60% withdrawal rule still applies.

      • 50k account buffer: $52,100

      • 100k account buffer: $103,100

      • 150k account buffer: $154 600

Rules you need to follow + general information for MFFU

  • Account activity rule

    • MyFundedFutures requires 1 trade minimum per week to keep all funded accounts open

      • They say to reach out to them if you are unable to meet that requirement (like if you are about to go on vacation)

      • “Eval to Live” accounts have their own unique activity rules, so check their site for that

  • Scalping policy

    • Trades on the Nasdaq need to be 5 or more points

    • Trades on the S&P 500 need to be 2 or more points

    • A few break even or small trades is fine. It only becomes an issue if ALL your trades are small scalps. Some people shockingly misinterpret this as not being allowed to move your stop to breakeven.

    • Click here to see their website’s up-to-date policy on scalping

  • Discounts and Coupons for MyFundedFutures

    • Iman will always update to the best available discount for evaluations and resets. That includes all special sales as well as standard discounts regardless of the payment method you choose to use.

  • Available trading platforms

    • NinjaTrader

    • Tradovate

    • TradingView (but it has a 5-second delay unless you subscribe to real-time data through TradingView)

    • Quantower

    • Volumetrica

    • Volsys/Volbook

    • ATAS

  • How many accounts can you have?

    • 10! There’s a maximum of 3 active sim-funded accounts at the same time. If you pass another evaluation while you already have 3 active funded accounts, then that passed account is “dormant” until a spot opens up. So, if you fail one of the 3 funded accounts, your dormant account then fills in the 3rd spot.

  • News trading rules

    • From their site here (check it just in case anything changes before I’m aware of it)

      • Trading on T1 news events (listed in a graphic on this page) is prohibited for Starter and Expert sim funded accounts. It is NOT prohibited on Starter Plus accounts. All positions must be flattened at least two minutes prior to the scheduled T1 news event, and you must wait until 2 minutes later to resume.

The 4th Trading Plan: “Evaluation to Live” Accounts

On March 3rd, the Milestone Plan was replaced by their new “Evaluation to Live” plans. To be honest, I don’t see the appeal in this new model yet, but feel free to see it for yourself by going to their website. That link will bring you to the folder that contains all of their articles about it.
